Looking good! I'm liking your tiles, they're really well done and I can hardly see them repeat. And your water looks great, and it's so simple at the same time. Very good!

Thanks. Will add some detail to the water, too. but mostly some animated bubbles, so it will not brake the simplicity.

I'll be honest, I'm not a fan of the dithered shadow. It feels messy. Otherwise it's got some pretty good tiles. The character looks to large for all the objects though. In fact, he appears taller than the columns.

Well spoted sir and you are most certainly right. Shrinking of the character sprite is already on my todo list, will get to it after i'll finish some objects to make the map more interesting (crates, barrels, pipes, dirt and so on). The shadows are basicly a placeholder for now, will do them better way later on, Graphics Gale isn't that greate at transparency as one would like it to be :)

No worries mate ;)
(actually saw this over at PJ when it was still in the queue but hadn't commented because... yeah I was feeling lazy at the time).

Graphics Gale isn't too bad but I must admit I did find it irksome. I currently use Paint Shop Pro Photo X3. I quite like the set-up of Corel but it's taxing as heck for processing power. Still, I much prefer it over Photoshop and as far as pixelling goes I like it over Graphics Gale. (At least your not using Gimp)

Hh. Well here you are wrong. I do use GIMP as part of the prosess. I admit it's noted perfect, but in version 2.8 it is actually usable. They have finally implemented one window interface and i've changed all the shortcuts from gimp nosensual ones to ones that resamble the photoshop the most.
Was too lazy to stea... buy the PS.
Oh and i do have linux installed on my netbook, where i do most of the work nowdays ^_^

I admit, I haven't used gimp in a while, I just remember my experience with it was one of complete rage.

Yep, and i still get frustrated with it from time to time. It's inconsistent and unlogical. For example if you are using pen tool, press ctrl and click on the picture, it will take the color you clicked on. Sweet, very good for pixelart. It does not do that using fill tool tho... Why? O_o
Anyway, it's free, it's getting better, and it does what i need it to do mostly.
I just wish there were some unifing force behind it like Blender have.
